About us

Square One Planning was founded by Tilly Whishaw in 2025. Tilly is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and has over ten years of planning experience. Having started her career in a Local Authority role, she spent five years working within a planning and architecture practice gaining both planning and design experience. In 2020 Tilly started working for one of Britains largest house builders and quickly progressed to Head of Planning. Tilly uses the knowledge and experience gained through her career to provide commercially astute planning advice within a complex planning system.

At Square One Planning we have experience of working in a range of Local Authorities including, but not limited to; Arun District Council, Chichester District Council, Horsham District Council, South Downs National Park, Waverley District Council, Wealden District Council and Tandridge District Council. 

Our team have successfully led on the submission of varying applications, from small extensions to large scale mixed use developments. No project is to big or small.
